Message You can get a early 90's 300ZTT for $3000-$5000. Anything overthat and it really has to be pristine or have some serious mods. There was one for sale for $5500 with a TD05 kit, FMIC, upgraded injectors, AB Flug front bumper, and aftermarket hood.

Where in Japan are you going?

: I might be traveling to europe and Japan with my Dad on one of his business trips later this year, i was wondering what would be involved with importing a j-spec car to the US. I have heard there are two ways to do it, through an importer(expensive) and through the military loophole. Well ive got some friends in the army who i could pursuade to look into the details of it.

: I was just tossing around the idea, nothing serious right now, i just thought it would be awesome to import a skyline or sylvia, maybe even a fairlady. What are the prices like? Would the nissan cars be cheaper in their country of orign or is the reletive price the same.

: I heard some crazy japanese law that the cars have to have the motors replaced every 30K miles, that explains all the low miles j-spec motors for sale. Does this also mean the cars are cheap too, maybe a car with 30-60-or 90k would be cheap because it was needing the motor transplant, and you could pick it up for cheap.

: I would really like an R-34 but who am i kidding i can barely afford much more than my NA. Anyway if you have looked into this too and have some interesting info pass it along, im just curious. Is this possible or worthwhile?
