Message were screwed. I personally have received many misquotes in the past, and have felt the same disappointment that you undoubtedly feel, but I have never seen anyone as vindictive as you have been for a simple misquote. Yes, Racelogic made a mistake... Yes, they admitted it... Yes, they were profusely apologetic about it... what more can anyone expect?

I don't know why you think I am ripping people off. Nobody in the U.S. has ever bought a unit for $600 (sponsorships excluded of course)... and that includes myself! I challenge you to find a single person in the U.S. who has bought a unit at that price. Those prices are below my cost. Now, maybe for the end consumer a "great deal" that is not a rip-off means I should sell these units at a loss, but that is obviously a faulty business model. Below is a copy of the e-mail I received from Racelogic concerning your misquote for anyone else reading this thread...

I am very sorry but we cannot supply the traction controls at the price previously quoted. The Traction control system which fits the 300ZX has to be a fully sequential system, and the price you were quoted was for a much simpler, non-sequential system which works on UK cars, but not on the US cars.

Best regards,

Julian Thomas

You claim this is "horseshit", I personally don't have the technical knowledge to back this up... I can provide the technical support contact at Racelogic if anyone desires. However, I can direct you to the 300ZX service manual, which does indeed describe both a non-sequential AND a sequential fuel injection system for the Z.

I have been a member of Twinturbo.Net since the very beginning (Bernard joined the forum June 20, 1998 04:49 PM) and have always tried my best to be helpful and fair to all the members during all this time. I've run numerous group buys (both for Racelogic and other things, driveshafts, etc.), sold many of my own items in private sales, written up several TECH articles, and answered more posts than I care to count. In all that time, I have NEVER cheated, ripped off, slandered, nor screwed any other members in any way, shape or form, and I definitely am not doing so now.

I'm sorry that you had a bad experience with Racelogic, but please do not let your anger with them spill over onto me. That misquote was not my mistake. I'm doing my best to provide the members of this forum with a great discount for a great product.

Incidentally, if you only want a two-step rev limiter, JWT makes one which you may want to check out.
