Message it could just be that they were super busy and had 6 other hydrolocked cars at the time due to the torrential rains... but, i had allstate at the time and they actually told me to get it torn down before the adjuster could take a look at it (although, the adjuster did come look before he said to tear it down).

: Most insurance companies will only pay out on a hydrolocked engine IF the insurance agent is present when the oil pan is dropped. They take a sample of the water in the oil pan...then they send it to the lab. They test it for chlorine to make sure you didnt just hook a water hose up to your throttle bodies to blow your engine on purpose. I've heard some insurance companies will not pay out on a hydrolock claim if the agent gets there and the owner/mechanic already has the engine out or taken apart at all.
