F-1 drivers do race in the rain, it's open wheel racing at it's best. Corner workers take their chances just like the drivers do, it's a trajedy but shit happens. no one is ever happy about things like this but it is not a rare occurence. Drivers die, pit members, corner workers and spectators, we don't like to see it but it's part of the game. Drivers can not 'opt' to not drive at a certain track, to do so would effectively kill their career-you will NEVER see a drivers strike in F-1 or most any other series because it is just not conducent to their individual goals. Furthermore, in Formul 1, rescheduling is usually out of the question, especialy if it is a 'fly' race-outside Europe, the logistics and expenses are unimaginable. To get to the races in the first place is a feat of perservearance and high dollars. I'll pray for the soul who found his misfortune today, but the race must go on.
