Bout 20% of people who did this told me it still didnt work after they did the fix so there might be another problem although the one in my car still works so i obviously fixed my problem as well as my friends but being as how the problems that the 20% of the people expirienced didnt happen to me i couldnt tell them what there problem is unless it happens to me. If it ever does and i figure out the problem then of course ill post it but untill then..........
Also. A person e-mailed me and he told me that he did the fix and it still dosnt work so i went to his house (cause he lives a few miles away) and picked it up. I brought it home to fix it and when i opend it up it looked like a warzone. Prints were detached, solder was touching other electrical items, the resistor wasnt the right resistance and.... he solderd the resistor to the wrong area. He actually solderd them on the board which didnt have the glass display. And he had the nerve to tell me that the writeup is usless and that it should be removed, etc..... Go figure.
But ont he good side i got so many e-mails telling me how well it works and how bright it got (like new) so i guess the good outweighs the bad by far.
Anyway. sorry it didnt work out for ya. MAybe u should open it up and check everything again to make sure nothing is touching, the resistance is good, the solder isnt touching anything, etc.... i cant really help u out much beyond from what i did. But take another look. Worst case scenario im getting a few clocks to fix myself and if i do ill be sellign them for cheap (bout 30 dollars). Ill let u know when i get them/fix them. Later buddy.
