And you smell this nasty burned clutch smell... basically its when the material on the clutch wears down to far that it can no longer hold against the flywheel to transfer the power from the engine to the transmission... It can occur at any RPM, but it normally starts at the higher rpms, and works its way down the band as the clutch wears out. I had a clutch on my ol' 85 Turbo Z that would slip as soon as the turbos spooled after 3krpm in 3rd... =( Not good!
