It’s a choice they make that some find terrible. We what to help them, feel sorry for them and lift them up to what we consider a better way of life; but the help is our imposition of standards on them that they have no intensions of implementing. Human nature on the lower half of the scale has no guilt and will take everything, money and emotions from those on the upper & lower half of the human scale of evolution. It’s not that they can’t be helped, it’s that they are comfortable in that life style and don’t think like you or I. Very few people every truly make a life style change for what I would consider to be for the better.
