96TT are rare to say the least, but when you can find them in mint condition, it makes them even better. I bought my 96 last year with a low 23K on it, however, now I have 35K on it but still love the "new car smell" it still has. As for the ECU dilemma, it might be over (or soon to be). LINK sys should work in the 96TT and safely remap the fueling for higher boost settings. I contacted Greg Dupre out here in S.Cal about this computer and he said that even though he has not messed with one yet, he saw no reason why it wouldn't work. He also said that he had a client that was going to get one so he might experiment with it later. Contact F8IZHIS on the forum for more info about this. F8IZHIS also had a client that was going to put one in a 96TT. There is also another Co. that is (no lie) very close to putting one out designed for the 96TT. It will coast $$$$$ but will solve the problem with the switch from OBDI to OBDII. Enjoy the ride! Regards, Chuck
