Message This is by no means an exhaustive list.

1. Make sure the car is tuned so that it can operate properly without the risk of failure.

2. Gauges aren't going to be that helpful. You will be more focused on driving than looking at gauges.

3. Fresh brake fluid (ATE typ 200 is good).

4. You probably should run a track specific track pad. I seem to like the offering from G-Loc for track specific pads. Typically, street pads tend to overheat and fade, especially on a heavy, powerful car like a Z32.

5. Inspect the car yourself, if comfortable, or have a professional go through it. You're looking for worn suspension components (bushings, ball joints, tie rods, etc), uneven wear on tires, leaks, lights working, battery secure, etc.

6. I typically recommend running 70% water , 30% coolant in the cooling system for track operation. Water is more effective at cooling than coolant, but the coolant gives you antifreeze, antiboil and corrosion resistance properties.

7. When you get out to a track, look to have an instructor. A good instructor will train you well on what to look for on your driving, the racing line, good habits, etc.
