1. What’s the compression of each cylinder on the NA? 2. What’s the compression of each cylinder on the TT? 3. What does “fresh motor” mean? … new rods? Pistons and rings? Bearings? 4. What was done on heads? What parts? Who did work? Receipts? 5. The wall clearance is gonna be likely off on the NA and TT cylinders as they’ve probably worn differently and possibly re-honed. So dropping in the TT pistons wouldn’t be ideal. 6. What gas are you going to run? If you can’t run ethanol, meth or high octane NA pistons could be a “knock knock who’s there …? “ situation.Scott did a good write up on this on z shack website. Z1 also has a “how to what’s needed” write up. * If you can run ethanol at all times use the NA motor. * if you can’t run ethanol at all time TT pistons. * a lot comes down to compression results. —disclaimer I’ve never done a swap only educated myself on articles as I was debating TTing my NA. In my case it Was just cheaper and easier to buy a TT. ;)
