With the exception of the lightening strike killing those - I have never had an issue with them. My neighbor lost a drill pack that was plugged in too, so it was not just them.
Many of my tractors and ATV's (especially at the farm 1.5 hours from me) will sit for months at a time and all winter at times. With the tenders I never worry - they crank right up every single time. I hard wire the included quick connect (also comes with clamps) to them and just a quick tug and you are off and running and pop the plug right back when when you return. The tractor and side by side at the farm have been on them 24/7 since my father passed in 2018 and they are all still going strong.
