I haven’t ever had my car stolen, and it’s always parked in a garage, so I can’t really tell you how well it works.. but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be just as effective. I simply use an inline switch that disconnects the starter signal. Even if someone was to break the steering coloum and jump 12v to my stater wire, it won’t start with an open starter circuit. Fuel disable would work too, I’m sure there’s many ways of doing it. Fwiw, I put my switch inside the vent duct behind the drivers door. I had 3 people search my car for the switch and after 15 minutes they gave up lol win
