Message	injection creates is particulates. This is why many manufacturers have added port injection to help control particulate emissions. I believe Toyota was first, but these days VW and Ford have also been using similar strategies. Some manufacturers are actually going the route of particulate filters that need to be regenerated every so often, akin to DPF on diesels.
