Message Honestly, I've been lifting all my cars like this for over five years. Hundreds of lifts on both Z32s, two Jags and two BMWs; and none have suffered any kind of bending deformation of the pinch welds.

When I began lifting by like this, I used to double check for body alignment by opening and closing the doors when suspended. Only the Jag convertible, which has cowl shake like a rubber band over railroad tracks, showed any signs of non-alignment as the you could slightly feel the door striker shift location. But none of the welds ever suffered any kind of permanent distortion of any kind.
