Message Well tuned, a coilover can be both more comfortable and better handling because it can be tuned to the exact needs of the suspension. It's just a more expensive way to get there and needs someone that knows what they're doing. I had people ride in my Z that couldn't believe I was on coils because it was so comfortable. Coilovers also get a bad rap from people that install them wrong, have the car all crossed up, and think that turning the damping all the way up is best.
