Situation: Smoke at idle after boosting... newly installed (used) Sport 500s Also: Small but noticeable smoking continuously after car is warm at idle. Diagnosis: 1) car up on lift, check IC piping and ICs for oil (thanks Kent)... negative. 2) Check charge piping and throttle bodies for oil... negative 3) Pull balance tube... not pretty: 4) Check compression... 145 - 155 across all cylinders warm. So... up on the lift @ 6: 30 PM Friday. Pull exhaust... DS clean, PS, lots of oil residue in pipes, on gaskets and downpipe. Amateur Z... Assemble! . . . . . . . . . . . . . . (... I'm fat Thor, BTW) Exhaust, driveshaft, starter, transmission, fluids out. Car too hot to pull coolant and motor (we're tough, but not that tough.) Back for Saturday start... motor out by 11:00] Swapping turbos back to (sob) stock The blurry and out-of-focus culprits... DS seemed fine, PS one leaky .jpg Motor back in by 1:00, trans stabbed and installed by 2:00 buttoned up by 5:00 and fired and back home by 6:00 PM... 23.5 hours.
Followed itsa300zx home... no smoke. . . . . . . . . . . ... or was there?!?

And done before the 24 hr clock ticked down... Not that we were trying or anything. ;)
