Message only a certain amount will be enough to keep surfaces from wearing, and the remainder will simply pass through the system with no benefit at all. Most decent full syn oils have a minimum Zn amount (1200 ppm or so) which is fine for most engines, my UOA's over the years have always shown good Zn levels for M1 products.

Kind of like running race gas when you're tuned for 91 octane... you don't need the extra octane at that power level so it is of no benefit.
