Welding Cast Iron to Stainless Steel is a bit of a process & not as straight forward as you may think. To get it to NOT crack takes a lot more effort & a special rod. It is not simply welding them together. 0.49ar will choke off the potential of the turbo & have high back pressure. These have been tested on some RB race motors & they had to step up to the largest 0.92ar to get the BP in a same range. 0.72ar will be the sweet spot for the VG imho. If anyone is interested in having a custom set of manifolds made, contact me. I am one of the very few people in the Z community that has made tubular manifolds & that have not cracked.
