Message	Depends on the insurance company...they love to go by blue book...and the age of the car does not help in this department. Did you have an appraisal of the car from before the accident ? If not, I think they'll try to total it and give you blue book...but you could buy it back for probably around $1200...keep the difference, and fix it yourself. Your insurance may or may not let you keep comprehensive coverage on it after its been totaled.
