oem and has a heel pad on the driver side. it also has padding on the bottom and fits the floor reasonable well. I did not have to trim very much on either side or the front floor board but I did have to cut more off the back. the hardest part is fitting the trans tunnel area and cutting the holes. I also transferred the plastic pieces from my old carpet to the new. I got the Essex super plush without the mass backing option, as I read it is a pain in the ass to install. btw, I had my dash out when I installed the carpet, it may be a little harder to get it under there with the dash in. overall, I am happy with it.
