The C5 Z06 runs a 3.42 with basically the same gearbox; and it's only a hundred pounds lighter. There's so much torque below 3500, the 4.08 is redundant in a street car. It seems lots of LS swaps begin by keeping their NA rearend, but if they're not dedicated track or drag cars, eventually about half of them change the 4.08 for one usually 3.32 and the TT's 3.69.
