the muffler, or resonator, as possible. The tailpipe was cut and the venture tack welded in so it could be removed later. I was running a resonated 2.5 Borla system and the drone was minor; however it did in fact perform as advertised, and eliminate the drone around 2200-2400... I forget the exact rpm range. As I recall the concept was to speed up the relatively cool [and slower] exhaust gases by constricting the diameter of the tubing before these gases passed through the noise silencer. Apparently the speed of the flow is related to the resonant sound. I'm not sure about that, but the device did reduce the offending noises without moving them up or down the rpm range.
