The registration is likely used to cover the cost of flying Greg and Seb out, along with their expenses. I believe they just provide a valet map with the selector. It basically sets the Rev limiter to 3000 or something like that. The second time typically goes quick as they already have the base tune done. Tuning isn't cheap, but what I have never understood is people putting in $10k+ in mods and then running untuned. That to me is either unsafe, or if it is safe, you aren't maximizing the potential. Tuning by SZ isn't just about power, but also safety, drivability, etc. You would be amazed at how well the car idles, puts around town, etc after a proper tune.
