I see a bunch of stuff I buy going up in price simply because the OEMs are outside the us. For example I have a diesel jeep with an Italian engine and German fuel injection. If I need a timing belt kit pretty much all the parts come from Europe and Canadia. The jeep was built in Ohio at the same Toledo assembly line that has churned out Jeeps for 70 years by American workers, and sold around the world, but many engine components are internationally sourced. Like anything it’s hard to gauge the full ramifications, good or bad, brought up by such a change.
