Pitted against their most nefarious foe yet:

EFITunerMan!

and..................... Greg?

Er, K the narrative kind of falls apart here... so:

8th year running! 16 cars tuned - 6 Z32s over 4 days June 27-30. We had barrels of E-98 this year, nobody ran Q-16 and only 2 tuned on VP-109... its becoming easier to get and with 94 hitting $ 1.60L (multiply by 4 for gallons, yes that's $ 6.40/gal conversion) the corn is a bargain at $ 250.00/barrel.

This year we changed dynos, the old shop shut down... so we went into the country to Joshua's shop:

Silver Maple Numerics

Shoutout to Joshua and Trish for keeping us fed with coffee, snacks and full lunches each day! Joshua bent over backwards doing strapdown, repairs & lending us the 2 post lift for driveshaft removal and tool lending... this was the smoothest 4 day event we've done yet thanks to him and his wife's hard work!

First up, this year's shirt:

Member dfenton2's high score from last year on the back. So we had a target to beat this year... bring forth the contenders:

*standard disclaimer... the runs are corrected to elevation, CF STD 1.10, so I post the first and last runs as relative gains - I will send runfiles to interested parties on request : rkiddell[at]edmontonzcarclub.com*

First up was ConVerTT's new red TT... regular TT motor, stock turbos, breather mods & ASH Massives, 740cc/min injectors MS Manis & full 3" - 2.5" exhaust:

And the results on 94 blue first run, red last:

Next up, my silver TT with pretty much the same mods as ConVerTT's above, new CHRA's on stock turbos, MS manis and switched out the old Stillen exhaust for an old Thermal Research 2.5":

And my results on 94.... pretty much identical to ConVerTT's red first, blue last:

Next up member RBS145 with member 300ZedEx's previous '95 that we tuned a couple years ago. Greg D's old GReddy TD0516G kit with breather mods, 740 cc/min injectors, 3 - 2.5" SZ exhaust:

Tuned on 94 and VP 109 (blue first 94, red final 94, green 109):

Member Jiro was back again with a newly refreshed motor, GT675RS turbos, Eagle pistons, Carillo rods, Z1 intercoolers,
stock piping, 740 cc/min injectors:

Unfortunately, the top end noise got louder and louder as we were tuning on 94. We called it and didn't switch to the 100 octane he packed with him blue first, red last:

further engine work will be needed, third time's the charm.

Member Stanky was also a return this year... Sport 530's on a refreshed engine, 500 cams on a full breather car with sport 530s, haltech and E85... check out his detailed post:

He'd tuned before, so there wasn't much at the 94 level... but check out that corn (blue first 94, red last 94 and green e85):

Sam was next with Sport 530's, Z1 ICs, Nismo 740 cc/min injectors (Doucheworks injectors gone and forgotten) and 3 - 2.5" exhaust (his Z waaaaaay over on the left):

And the custom Tim Horton's air shield to stop the intake flutter (So Canadian!):

Turned out respectable numbers on 94 with stock piping (blue first... red last):

But the final battle (2 years in the making) was member gd300ZX's GTX2860R full breather mod, adj. JWT 500 cam intake & exhaust cam gears, custom 3" exhaust, Haltech slicktop Zed:

And the results... both 94 and VP 109... no corn this year:

This year's winner overall of all the cars we tuned (TT G35 was in the high 700s)

Local livestock were impressed:

W00t!

yay!

Day 2 participants lined up for a beauty pic:

The story of Excalibur... Seb's beloved SnapOn driver bit was left in RBS145's Zed who went home to Calgary (3 hours away) ConVerTT was coming back up the highway the next day from Cowtown and was persuaded to drop in pick up Excalibur on his way up... the reunion brought tears:

Went back a couple days later to pick up lost items from the dyno shop, and this was sitting there:

Thanks to:

Specialty Z: Greg & Sebastian for continuing to come to Canuckistan and fix our Zeds

The AmateurZ crew who always help out:

MixManMash
GTRJeff
ConVerTT
Matt_ZXT & Awesome Amanda

Joshua & Trish from Silver Maple Numerics... Thanks for Everything!
