I suspect: *Mike no longer wanted to invest the money or time in the larger quantity batches he was doing. So he did a small production run, which cost more. *Either the same or a new foundry has a higher price to produce a lower quantity. *Time is money & Mike hand finishes them him self. In the past he would trash a couple sets per production run that were not up to his standards. After the lower quality crap from AMS & a competing product from Ash that sells for more with more hassle of install & still having a demand from the market his value has gone up. *Vendors have always made more on the product than Mike has. He never really sold direct to public. He want to distribute through the larger vendors (SZ, CZP, Z1, etc...) *One of the vendors purchased the molds or the rights to produce the manifolds again & are allowed to set their own pricing as such.
