Message	If you travel through Washington DC and Virginia make sure you unplug your radar detector. They are illegal and the officer can take them as evidence for the trial. Also as far as Radar and Lidar/Laser. A lot of Officers leave their radar on and sit back and watch. The only thing is that a Radar can shoot up to 1 mile in perfect conditions. Lidar shoots at a specific point on your vehicle and almost instant reading. And a common thing that people do not realize is that a Radar can be used in Moving Mode. Certain Radars for example the Raptor and Golden Eagle two can do moving and measure in the same direction, and from behind. For Virginia most Troopers are trained in Lidar and they have maybe one or two per Area.
