Great post on this subject of debate off of the C5 board… some guy is saying he would rather have an 8 sec. Civic than a “slow” Diablo… I died laughing reading this reply… Alright. Let's think about this...
Case 1.
If you pull up to work in a Diablo, your co-workers will be like "Cool! What an awesome ride! How did you afford this baby!"
Pull up in a Civic..."What happened, did you wreck your car? Is this the loaner from the shop? Doesn't your insurance provide reimbursement for a full-size auto?"
Case 2.
If you're at a party or club, and some hottie sees you pull up in the Diablo. She hands your her panties.
Pull up in a Civic...She throws you her keys and tells you to keep your feet off the floor mats and park her car close to the front.
Case 3.
Your at the track in the Diablo. Everyone crowds around your car and you run awesome times while the crowd looks on.
Your at the track in the Civic. No one gives you a second look except for a few pimple faced teenage boys driving Civics. You run awesome times while a few look on. After the run, more pimple faced teenage boys hang around you and ask dumb questions.
Case 4.
Your now an old man. You sit around the fireplace and tell your grandsons you use to own a Diablo and show them the pictures of you, the car, and the hotties at the track. You are a hero.
You sit by the fireplace and tell your grandsons you use to own a Civic and show them the pictures of you and the econobox at the track. You are an old man with a boring story. You might as well have an 8 second Yugo.
