You could define performance as: -Highest strength -Lowest weight -Lowest cost -Fatigue life -Corrosion resistance There are a whole number of things one has to take into consideration when designing or specifying a part. That being said, in my experience the failing point on a lot of the suspension arms is the heim joints (rod ends). The cheaper arms pound out the joints fairly quickly. I know Powertrix uses QA1 Endura rod ends, and SPL uses 3-piece FK rod ends. I've experienced the cheap rod ends and the QA1 ones, which last 2-3x longer. Looks like Voodoo is also using the QA1 Endura (XM) series. I've never really looked at their parts before, but they look pretty solid at a first glance. Common aluminum material used is 6061 in the T6 condition aka 6061-T6. You'll definitely want to get the Type III anodizing if you go with the Voodoo parts to protect the aluminum.
