Message	old glue residue. A heat gun should help with that, just don't get things too hot. I'd then suggest using either silicon glue (good flex when cold) or SIKAFLEX: [ http://www.elise-shop.com/sikaflex221-adhesivesealant-p-506.html ] Hopefully others will comment too?
