Message prohibited. Those with internal combustion powered automobiles will likely need a low use or leisure permit to operate their cars. Like smoking cigarettes, having a gasoline powered car will be considered a social affront. The change to all electric will be gradual though. Figure 20 to 30 years before it all said and done. Rural areas will not be as affected.

A friend who lives in Holland, tells me it costs him 2500$/yr fee to license his TTZ. The country wants 50% electrics by 2025. Fasten your seat belts, it is going to be a quick ride down this roller coaster. On the plus side, performance cars will still be around and speedelectric shops will still exist.

One thing is certain, it will double the cost of ownership. But don't despair; many countries tax cars to the point of making them cost twice or more as they do here in the US of A. Those are still filled with cars making jams. We will adapt.

Take for instance mandatory insurance and helmet laws. Did they reduce cars of motorcycles?
