| level of spraying because the base coat is the background and the pearl white is semi transparent and changes hew as more coats are put on. Have to keep track of the spray passes. If they are not good at painting this 2 color pearl will look different in different areas with light. Ask the shop if they have sprayed 2 color pearl paint and how many done. If they pull the doors off that could create a non match with pearl colors because of not in same spray pass as the rest of the body. $9k seems high to me. I would pay about $6K for a decent pearl job that would pull the weather stripping, emblems, under fender plastic panels, prep and paint engine bay (best as possible with engine remaining) and keep the over spray to zip and excellent clean up. You don't need $450/gallon paint there are really good paints out there for less and will last. Prices differ over US, check other shops and ask their experience with pearl if that is the white you are going. If just plain white color $9k is a totally ridiculous high price.
