Message I have a Z1 shifter in my car.

As for the Master, it's a Nissan unit (well actually NABCO) unit.
I purchased this, rebuilt it, and installed.
This size was used in the '84-'89 300ZX's. Also used in other cars.

The way this works is; a smaller bore master cylinder give you MORE pressure in the lines per each incremental move of stroke.
A larger bore master does the opposite; give LESS pressure, but more volume, which means the pedal does not go down as far, although there is less actual line pressure built up per movement of the pedal.

With my smaller bore master, the stoke is a bit more than stock, but more pressure so I don't have to force the pedal down as hard. This coupled with the steel braided lines, the very grippy Yellow Stuff pads, and the EBC sport rotors makes for very nice and powerful braking.

I can get my car into ABS mode without having to feel like I need 2 feet on the pedal.
What I had before made spirited runs down the canyons here a bit unnerving.
