Message the lower plenum. On the GTR, the runner is much closer to 90° than the Z32 plenum. The Z was cramming a big motor in a small engine bay and they had to make the most of the space they had. Even if you were able to port match the plenums, you'd still have a nasty change in flow direction that would upset the stream and probably negate any gains you might have gotten otherwise.

Unfortunately it is one of those all or nothing things. You'd be better off looking at the engineering that went into the GTR plenum and applying it to a custom plenum, kind of like what Ash is doing, than trying to bodge together two designs two decades apart.
