Message That's like rule #1 when driving a rear wheel drive car. Even pushing in the clutch would have pitched you the other way. If you break loose, you ease off the throttle, not let off all the way. You need to bring the tires and road back together in a controlled manner. Sudden changes only upset the situation even more.

Nothing against BMWs, but their power/weight ratio is pretty far from a modded TT. Add in their traction control and you have a completely different car.

I hate to say it, but it kind of sounds like your training class made you too sure of yourself. My Z is a 2+2, but I've driven plenty of coupe TTs and it's really not difficult to keep them pointed straight when they break loose, which they have a habit of doing.

It may seem like it happens to Zs a lot because you have one, but be sure that there are tons of other rear wheel drive sports cars that bite amateur drivers. (cough mustangs)
