Subject	Greddy timing belt...use or not?

Message	I bought a Greddy timing belt when i started a build, about 8 years ago, and its been in its box since then. I opened up over the weekend to look it over to see if it had timing marks on it, and it does, but i noticed the blue outer material is cracking where the belt has been folded all these years, and if you twist it a bit you can hear this layer cracking some... So, I am very hesitant to use it, so that basically tells me I should not since I question it, its an item I dont want to fail. What do you guys think? get another belt and move on?
