Message	but I'd go for an el cheapo ebay or CL auto trans. I've seen them go for as little as 300 bucks. If it blows, who cares. It's only 300 bucks. After seeing my friends $2500 "rebuild" transmission strip the 2/4 band after only 15k, I'm even moreso leaning towards a second hand transmission. A transmission R/R isn't too hard. You'll need a friend to help get it out, unless you have a trans jack. I just use a floor jack with 2x4's and plywood, lol.
