Message	meter signal doesn't just affect which cell the ECU is picking for fuel delivery, but also for ignition timing. This is definitely not a replacement for proper custom tuning PERIOD. However, it's a good way to fuck shit up. What makes you think it's running "too" rich? Do you have widebands to measure? Under wide open throttle on pump fuel, you should be about 11.5:1 range.
