Message Just wanted to clear the air here on some things most aren't being honest about etc.

The SZ pan is a factory pan that simply has the sump cut off and a new one fashioned/fabricated. That means yes it will "drop" on just like ALL other OEM pans. Essentially its an OEM pan with an update. Nothing wrong there just clarifying because that means it will directly go on with no alterations needed. However there have been many that have had to modify their SZ pans either with drain back tubes or sump clearance for the pickup tube. None of these were stated but are most certainly documented around the forums.

To touch on my oil pan. Yes there have been a few issues as of late, (last batch of pans in particular) that have had some very unfortunate and unforseen complications. Many of these while were never considered a mainstay of quality slipped by Moroso. I've been dealing with them these past few weeks to the point I sent them one of my pans back to get an assessment with a raw product in hand. While some have had oil pickup tube complications in terms of the flange area it most certainly hasn't been on all of them. The bracket that was welded to each pickup tube was obviously never trial fitted at Moroso or they would have corrected it at the factory. This is unsettling because I've paid for ALL fixturing and even have given them a block/oil pump/girdle/dip stick etc, all of which is there at their disposal to ensure a proper fitment is made/done. The bolt on assignment seems to be a growing pain to where not only do the flanges warp slightly (as with any welded flanged application) but it was first seen by me that they put the flanges on the opposite sides of where they should go and this would directly cause clients to have to modify the bolt hole pattern in order for their pans to fit. This is something that 100% is Moroso responsibility. I have spent many hours designing this pan and the "slip through the cracks" situations of this last batch of pans is the biggest culprit of them all. I am very sorry to all of you that have had issues, its not in my means to cause consumers more work than what is needed but please do understand that most all hand welded items will shift/change slightly and doesn't guarantee that those items will fit the next block they go onto from what Moroso (should be) ensuring fits the mock up parts I've supplied for them.

Now a few other issues I've seen Dane mention,

Firstly a sledge hammer should never be used to modify anything. I see where he mentions about the SZ trans flex plate but my pan had no way or at my disposal to send that particular flex plate to verify clearance. So the correct thing any shop should do is either turn down the heads of each bolt on a lathe or buy a set of bolts that have a reduced head height. This is common for most shops that run into snags along the way. Forcing a sledge hammer onto your car or even oil pan is NOT the thing to do. Besides that it would have been great if you had called me to discuss these matters prior to make any form of posts in trying to defimate my product and or name. Its just a common professional courtesy to do. As with any of my consumers of my products I would like to hope those of you would contact me with any problems you may have to see if I can help you rather than start a post here trying to gain momentum. At the end of the day you have to give those responsible a chance to rectify the matter rather than just throw them to the fire without them knowing what the issue is and or how they can resolve/help you.

The rear inside corner flange that has plagued a few ppl with crankshaft interference, this has been something even I've dealt with and I've brought it up to Moroso several times and while they have assured me they will be on the look out for it in the future I still caution everyone or anyone who is considering to purchase my pan to always look to mock up your parts prior to assembly. Its the first thing we all do in building engines. These are made by skilled craftsman at Moroso for me. They are human just as I am and for that matter can and will make mistakes. Its how we correct them and move forward that matters. So I want ppl to be aware that even the best parts on the market will still sometimes need fitment. I don't know of many parts from any aftermarket supplier for this community that ppl haven't had the need to modify or fit in order for the parts to work. It comes with the territory and while I don't want ppl to think Im making excuses, its honestly part of the experience (used lightly)

For Dane, you were given multiple times to purchase my oil pans at a discounted rate if you purchase in bulk. I gave you those prices and you refused. You'd rather buy from CZP which in all due respect he doesn't have to sell you the pans at a discount but he does and he is the supplier that stocks my pans. If you want to obtain a discount more than what CZP sells you the pans for then by all means place an order with me for the qty given and I can certainly help you with that. The problem lies in that you want to buy 1 or 2 pans and get WD discount and I'm sorry that doesn't happen. I have to buy my pans from Moroso at qty. That was the agreement between Moroso and I if we are in contract with each other. They aren't allowed to vend these to anyone other than me but I must buy minimum qty. Its very cut and dry.

The oil filter relocation kit is a must and has been a requirement since the day of its release. As mentioned in that debut thread the transmission brackets were stated will not fit unless you modify those yourself. However, they are not needed and even to this day SZ doesn't use them with their pan either. So please don't think its a bad thing or poor design. The relocation kits can be had for a complete kit from me now for $400. I've found a better way to make these kits for far less. I can include a thermostatic setup as well for the same price. Most of you have aftermarket oil coolers so including one into the mix isn't needed but can be for a little extra. I'm really wanting to make this a complete kit for you all so you have the best option available through me.

As for all others, I want you to know that I spent a great deal of time designing this pan. Yes there have been snags along the way just as there have been with many other vendors parts but in the end you pushed through the tough times and still support those vendors. I ask you to support me as well. It is a fantastic oil pan option, there are things we are still working on improving to make these even better. Im working very closely with Moroso to ENSURE these issues aren't a continuous application error of sorts. I myself have installed this pan on more engines than anyone else and while I too have had to grind a little clearance for the crank or modify bolt holes here and there I know that my oil pan offering is the best on the market for the value that is given/offered. I truly went above and beyond what I felt was available to give you all a product the platform needed.

I ask that if anyone has questions pertaining to my oil pan please feel free to contact me directly at my email address provided in my profile info. I take care of all my clients to the best of my ability and always want to make sure ppl are attended to. Also for ppl not sure about who is what etc, I EPR designed this oil pan and have contracted Moroso (world leader in oil pan fabrication) to build these for me. These are an EP product not a Moroso product. I see many refer to them as this and just wanted this to be clarified because you can not contact Moroso and buy these directly.
