Driving with the one injector should not adversely affect the others. The best thing to do is test the resistance of the injectors to see their real condition. It's possible the one had some sort of gunk built up in it but in all my years of driving fuel injected cars I've never run across one that had blockage. With the fuel filter, screens on the filters and current fuel quality this is pretty unlikely unless the car sat for a long time. I'm guessing you are just losing the coil in the one injector. It's best to test all of them so you have an idea if they look like they are failing or soon to. I had a 555 go out recently and elected to replace that one until I get around to going with newer style injectors.
