Message	the 245/40-17 is actually just a fraction smaller in circumference/diameter than the 225/50-16, and the 275/40-17 just a bit larger in circumference/diameter than the 225/50-16. 265/40-17 is just right but not as easy to find. When I first got the wheels, I ran the stock g35 tires for a while without any real issues, just avoid full lock and turning while going over large bumps ;-)
