Message	Tire width obviously has an impact on overall traction, whether that means turning, decelerating or accelerating. To say that a larger surface area provides no benefit in these categories is simply incorrect. Now I'm not saying that a change in tire compound is probably going to yield greater results than going wider, but to dismiss width entirely is foolhardy.
