About 6 years back I was at my friends house the night before a dyno tune trying to chase down a boost leak. We found the left side throttle body blew out the old gasket on the underside and it became obvious on a boost leak test. It was late and all of the auto parts stores were closed, so we ran to the convenience store and picked up some thick construction paper. Tapped out the shape of the gasket, cut the paper and tightened the throttle body onto it. Zero boost leaks and the tune the next day was good. He said he planned on changing it out after the dyno tune but 6 years later, a few more boost leak tests and he's still running it with no issues.
