Message	I asked him about the process and what he thought about using sand. He said sand was way too abrasive and would cause localized heat which was bad for alloy wheels. He used to use a plastic media bead, but has since switched to a chemical stripper which is much better for alloy wheels. They follow up the chemical bath with a heat cycle to remove all of the chemical and then prep the surface for powder coat with a plastic media blast. The results were perfect.
