Message This sort of relates to all vehicles.

I've got an old '03 Mazda Protege as my DD and I've been making efforts here before winter comes again to try to remove some rust and treat it to prevent it from eating away the entire car. Fighting rust up in MN is a losing battle, but hell, if $80 of product and some time allows me to drive it for another year while I hunt for a good deal on a truck, that'll make me happy.

To get to the point - I pulled off my fenders and managed to snap off a couple bolts which were badly rusted. To get everything together again I was thinking I would just drill them out, tap them and throw in some new stainless bolts or something. They are not really structural or anything so I don't think helicoils are needed.

Any thoughts or opinions on this?
