cheap rebuilds aren't a terrible idea. This is why so many people talk about them. I've got friends that rebuild their turbos themselves every couple years because it takes 30 min to get the turbo out. On the Z it's a lot more work to get the turbos out. You don't want to have to pull the engine again in 3 years when those rebuilds are toast again.
