Headed out 2:30am Thursday morning from Vancouver, bound for Edmonton
Through the Rocky Mountains, that was fun!
Crossed the border
Finally made it to Edmonton around 2:30pm, and decided to stop by Gurdeep's work to see what he was up too before making way to the dyno. To no surprise, he was working on the Z two days before the tune!
I missed most of Thursday's dynos, but was there first thing Friday morning. Rob and Jeff pretending to do stuff
370z put down some nice power, forget the owners name!
Jason's 300zxTT Vert, good numbers but was limited to 15 psi on his 94 octane
Next was me
420wrhp 406 ft-lbs @14psi. Out of all the graphs I took pictures of, I forgot mine.. I had brought my local Chevron 94, but it started to knock at 15psi, so 14 is all we could do. Seems like a lot of the 94 octane was acting like 91. After me was Brady's 300zx with an IPP stage 5 and GT30's
He could also run only 15 psi on 94 octane, and made around 490whrp if I remember correctly, so it was time for some Q16! Mahesh assisting in pouring it in, who by the way made 815whrp!!
Q16 run, Bradys Z had some issues with wastegates and other things, but should be back for more next year!
Next was Gurdeep's Z with sport 700's, JWT 500 cams W/BDE gears, full breather. Greg looking on
I think his pump tune was around 570wrhp 505 ft-lbs @19psi, and then it was race gas time Great numbers!!!
Saturday for me was spent visiting family, so I said bye to the folks and left Sunday morning around 6am It was almost a perfect 2300 km trip, until......
Thankfully I noticed it when I was fueling up in Valemount, so the spare had to come out.
The drive back through the Rockies in the sunshine was beautiful, and for those who want to know, I got 370 miles(600km) on my last tank of driving
Big thanks to Rob for organizing the entire event, and Gurdeep for letting me crash at his place for 3 nights! It was nice meeting the Edmonton crew, and hopefully will be back next year with some E85, and of course huge thanks to Greg and Seb for coming up to Canuckstian and tuning all the cars. Those two are machines!
