Message Not sure what your point there is. People seem to think they are made of fairy dust or something. That's not to say they don't need less-frequent maintenance though - the timing chain on the LS platform is super simple and obviously lasts longer than a rubber belt, for example.

I admire the LS platform a lot, but I'm not at a point where I think it makes sense to put one in a car that came with a very capable powerplant from the factory.
