Message Vs Coupe in general

- in the Coupe you hear more noises from the car and drivetrain coming up though the body. Vibration, noise, heat from the firewall is more noticeable as is the exhaust sound from behind the seats, up the hatch to your ears

- in the VerTT you hear more noise from the car and drivetrain coming from outside the car instead of through the car. Obviously you hear everyone elses noise too. Turbo spool and goose honk sounds completely different - it kind of comes around the front and through the windows. The exhaust sounds is present but more distant than in the coupe. It is "from the back" not "through the floor". You can see more. You can smell more. Uncatted TPs are out.

- top down "feels" "really fast" at lower speeds than the coupe. I assume that is because of all the extra sensory stimulation

VS TTops (since you asked that specifically)

- top down is definitely louder than tops off but is also different
- strangely top down seems to have less turbulence than tops off up to a certain speed. It is like the air flows over the windshield and through the basket handle with less buffetting. Personally I find less buffetting more comfortable
- in traffic everyone can see what you are doing. They can also see you wave goodbye when you get a gap :-)
- light weight stuff like documents or napkins will get sucked out of the car

Random stuff

The cars are for totally different moods: hair down, how y'all doin' vs GTF outta my way bitches

Convertibles seem more appropriate for "old guys" (don't know why. Just a feeling I get from years of looking at people looking back at me LOL)

And, I would encourage everyone to get caught in a short hard rain with the top down at highway speed. As long as you can keep your speed up, you can stay pretty dry :-)

Oh and of course Verts look better ( just for you stockplayer :-)
