Message an active heat exchanger that may become limited by its efficiency % (which most of our driving and racing experiences will rarely, if ever, tax).

Regarding airflow - the largest core that will fit will slow the air the most to maximize the time it's exposed to the IC material and transfer heat. Following this thinking, a larger core should also flow more air with less pressure loss on the other side.

Once you have chosen a high-end IC, worrying about whether the entire core is seeing equal pressure/airflow throughout is not worth the worry in my opinion... the efficiency gains are too small to warrant the work to achieve.
